Individuals live in their own accommodation, such as a rented apartment or a shared house, with the necessary modifications and accessibility features to meet their specific needs. Or we can provide a suitable property with established care in place on a 3:1, or 1:1 support ratio.

  1. Individualised Support: Support is provided based on the individual's needs and goals. This may include assistance with personal care, household tasks, managing finances, meal preparation, transportation, and accessing community resources.

  2. Staffing: Trained support staff or caregivers are available to provide assistance and support as required.

  3. Skills Development: The focus is on empowering individuals to develop and enhance their independent living skills. Support may be provided to help with daily routines, communication skills, budgeting, cooking, and other essential life skills.

  4. Community Integration: Encouraging social participation and community inclusion is a key aspect. Individuals are supported in engaging with their local community, participating in recreational activities, pursuing employment or education, and maintaining relationships.

  5. Individual Choice and Control: SIL aims to promote autonomy and self-determination. Individuals have the freedom to make decisions about their lives, including choosing their support staff and determining how their support is provided.
